This past Sunday brought an end to our summer breakfasts until next year.

I guess it is only fitting that we had our largest crowd for the last one. I do not have the final figures but I think we may have had a few dollars profit from the donations made at the breakfast. They did provide a great time for fellowship and that was great to see. There will be some changes next year as I will not be in the kitchen any longer. My health has reached a point that I can no longer stand on my feet that much. Ray Sledge will be in charge and I am sure he will do a great job as he has always been a loyal in the kitchen. J.B.  Paul has been a great addition  as a kitchen coordinator and making sure the cooks have something to work with. I thank you for letting me serve in this capacity In a ministry that I started many years ago with the help of Jeannettte Owens and Musa Swann.  Jeannette has not been able to help in the kitchen for many years but she has continued to furnish the bulk pan sausage we make the gravy from. Musa passed on some years ago and is now spending her time entertaining the Lord. If you didn't know her you missed a real treat. The four pen and ink drawings hanging in the hallway in the office wing were done by Musa. She was a very talented woman who was quick to laugh and even quicker to smile . There is a lot of history behind the breakfasts and what little bit Ray was not a part of he has heard about, so it is with great deal of confidence in him that I am stepping aside.
